This thing is a table:



You know how you always hear that flying somewhere is even safer than driving there? Flying certainly looks a lot more dangerous. And actually, if you live in a city as I do, riding a bike looks more dangerous than driving. Especially if you're on that bike. Well, here are the actual statistics. There are all sorts of interesting things to be gleaned from this table, not the least of which is that flying is 141 times safer than driving. Is talking about all these ways to get killed too morbid for a Thing of the Week? (You can e-mail your opinion to me.)
