Here are the stories of deserving individuals who have had their college educations sponsored by the Kapadia Education Foundation. We are always looking for more sponsors and more student candidates. See How to Be a Sponsor or How to Apply to learn more.

Chemi Wangmo
New Delhi, India
Chemi Wangmo is in her twenties and has been studying to be a teacher at the Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. She wants to be a journalist someday so that she can, in her words, "hope to do something for my country and my fellow Tibetan brothers & sisters".

Nguen ThanhTungNguen Thanh Tung
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Tung comes from a small village north of Can Tho in southern Vietnam, from a family of farmers living in a hut along a tributary of the Mekong river. In 2003, Tung graduated from HCM University with a bachelor’s degree in commerce, with an emphasis on tourism. His dream is to further the development of the Mekong Delta as a tourist destination. He is also considering getting a Master’s Degree someday, and to use his knowledge of English and French to expand his prospects internationally.
MalleyStanslaus Malley
Arusha, Tanzania
Stanslaus is obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree at the Open University of Tanzania. He is planning to use his skills as a teacher to help the community, especially poor families.

Monica Singha-Sammy
Accra, Ghana
Monica Singha-Sammy, sponsored in 2007, is studying for her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Ghana. Upon completion of her university education, she hopes to pursue a career in banking. On how she plans to help her community, Monica says, “I shall work and help other people who are needy in my community. I shall particularly organize and counsel young ladies in the community to pursue courses in high school and at college level, which would enable them to develop meaningful careers. I will also work with women and children in my community on health-related issues.” Monica is being sponsored through cooperation between Binghamton Students for Students International (BSSI) and Kapadia Education Foundation, and she is being mentored by Bill Liatsis, a student at Binghamton and current President of BSSI.
