Important Notice, April 1, 2011 The high number of student applications over the past six months has forced us to temporarily stop accepting new applications for sponsorship. Our foundation is committed to helping students achieve their goals, but with reduced funds resulting from the worldwide economic slowdown, we are unable to finance any new students until further notice. Applications already received through March 31, 2011 will be processed and prioritized, but a very few of them will be funded in 2011. Student applicants' status will be updated monthly on this website. In this our tenth year, Kapadia Education Foundation is urgently looking for tax-deductible contributions from potential sponsors (US$550 per student per year), or from individuals or corporations (any amount) willing to contribute to our general expenses. If you are a student in a developing country you may qualify for sponsorship by the Kapadia Education Foundation if you meet all of these requirements:

• You have been accepted in an accredited college or university in your home country. Assistance is provided only to students attending academically accredited institutions and following a course of studies leading to a specified professional, scientific, or technical career. Kapadia Education Foundation does not support religious or political studies.
• Your family cannot afford to pay for all college costs. Without financial assistance, you would not be able to attend this college.
• That any financial assistance by Kapadia Education Foundation’s Sponsors will be used only for tuition, lodging, food, and communication costs (postage or email) and nothing else. All other expenses, including clothing, travel and pocket money will be paid for through other sources. You must be able to show that you can pay these other expenses, and may not ask your Sponsor for any additional funds.
• You will have to remain a student in good standing at the college, and as a minimum have passing grades each year; and you will be responsible for sending the official college grades to the Foundation at the end of each study term.
• You will send monthly progress reports in the form of letters or emails to your Sponsor. You will freely ask your Sponsor for non-financial help such as advice or opinions related to your college studies that may help you succeed in college.
• Every student benefiting from this program pledges to "pay-it-forward" upon graduation. Prior to graduating you will create a plan to help others in your home country, and give this plan to your Sponsor. For example, you can pledge to do volunteer work for 5 hours per week at a local orphanage, or provide financial support of 25% of the cost of a college education for another student in the Kapadia Education Foundation program.
• Upon graduating from college, you will help find another potential student who needs financial assistance and refer him or her to the Kapadia Education Foundation.
• At no time will you make money in the form of commissions or fees from potential Student Candidates or from the Foundation.
