Environmental Consulting and Corporate Sustainability Reports

I have a unique depth of experience and expertise in environmental consulting and corporate sustainability reporting that will enable me to hit the ground running on your project.

As an environmental expert, I performed critical watchdog functions for Northeast Utilties (NU). I identified the impact of mercury legislation on NU operations, and led efforts to phase out the use of mercury containing meters. My efforts also led to the redesign of automatic meters by the manufacturer, thereby making a mercury free meter available to the utility industry. I developed the NU asbestos management plan for contaminated sites. I worked with the NH Department of Environmental Services to amend regulations relating to remediation waste, asbestos, and chronic non-compliance. I was manager of the monthly Compliance Activity Report, editor of The Horizon newsletter, and primary author of the 2001 Corporate Environmental Report.  I was also the primary author of the Northeast Utilities Environmental Handbook for Employees.

I have managed environmental studies of transportation improvement projects for the Department of Transportation in NJ, NY and ME, and have conducted environmental site assessments, regulatory assessments and impact analyses for large commercial and public transportation projects. I have planned, designed, and supervised construction of multi-million dollar wetland mitigation projects.  I have presented projects at public meetings, agency conferences and permit hearings.

I have coordinated large project teams in assessing sites for development potential, identifying regulatory constraints and requirements, designing environmentally sensitive development plans, and preparing permit applications and environmental impact statements. I have written complex impact statements for such projects as the redevelopment of the Bethpage Airport into an office park, and the creation of a boarding school for Keio University of Japan.
